Why Splash of Goodness

I created Splash of Goodness while I was on a health journey in 2017. I knew I wanted to share with others how I was healing my long-term health issues.  I came up with the idea of creating a platform where I could share my tips and some simple, quick, and delicious meals that had helped me to heal.


The power of a plant-based diet has transformed my health, and I want other people to experience the same benefits.   Here I focus on nutritious recipes made from vegetables, fruits, grains, healthy fats, nuts, seeds and are free of gluten. The recipes that you will find here are a great start if you want to transition (or take a break) from eating processed foods and animal products and move more towards whole plant based foods.  Splash of Goodness is my way of helping others improve their overall health by eating better.

Why Did I Become a Health Coach?

After starting out on my health journey and healing so many of my chronic issues, I wanted to help others do the same.  I started out by sharing my simple and healthy recipes on social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, with the aim of reaching as many people as I could. I also decided to become a health coach so I could offer one-on-one sessions and go deeper with each individual.

Health coaches help their clients to make long-term positive health changes by giving out advice and support. Many of us have health goals, whether it’s losing weight, increasing our energy levels, reducing stress, improving heart health, or exercising more. But often, we lack the accountability and support we need to achieve those goals. That’s where I come in, to be there for each individual. Through coaching, I empower others to take action by providing motivation, inspiration, and guided discussions. Helping others to feel their best is the most rewarding feeling imaginable.

Why I Chose a Plant-Based Lifestyle

 

 

Health: While I was doing my research, I discovered that whole food plant-based diets are packed full of vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, and fiber. Because they’re so nutritious, they can help to prevent and treat chronic health problems like the ones I was suffering from. Eating this way has helped me to heal my health issues, and it also keeps me feeling vibrant and full of energy.


The environment: I found out that plant-based foods take far fewer resources to produce than animal-based ones — so just by changing my diet, I’m helping to save land, water, and the rainforests.


Animal welfare: Like many people, I don’t want animals to suffer unnecessarily. By eating a plant-based diet, I’m helping to stop factory farming and cruel treatment in slaughterhouses.


Even after learning the reasons for becoming plant-based, my journey wasn’t easy. I had no idea where to start, and I struggled with the fear of failure. But by educating myself, I managed to build up my confidence, and now I’m thriving on a plant-based diet.

This lifestyle change is the best thing I have ever done for myself and my family. I no longer take any medication or suffer from the excruciating symptoms of fibromyalgia. Every day I feel more energized, stronger, and more clear-headed than ever before. Watching my health improve year after year is what makes me want to help others.

 

Today, my mission is to inspire and motivate people to make better food choices in order to gain the health and vitality we all want. I'm here to tell you this can happen for you too, and it's not as overwhelming as you might think. I'll be with you every step of the way.
