My Story

Hi, I’m Eva Molenda, a Health Coach, recipe creator, You Tuber, food stylist, and photographer behind "Splash of Goodness". Cooking healthy plant-based foods is my passion, so for me, the kitchen really is the heart of the home. 
 
I live in Canada with my beautiful daughter and an amazing husband. I moved here from Poland with my family as a teenager, and though I’ve travelled across the world, Canada is my true home.

How my health journey began

My passion for healthy foods and their ability to heal the body comes from my own journey. When I was 19 years old, I was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, food sensitivities, and digestive issues.

Later on, I developed allergies, brain fog, acid reflux, and ultimately fibromyalgia. I went from living an active life doing things I loved — like hiking, yoga, and going to the gym — to waking up in constant chronic pain.

After I gave birth to my daughter nine years ago, my health continued to decline. I went to multiple doctors and specialists and had too many tests to count! I was always told the same thing: take this medication, try that medication, or learn to live with the pain.

It seemed that every time I was prescribed a new medication, it just made my flare-ups worse, to the point where I couldn’t eat anything because of the pain. Not only was my body not responding, but it was getting worse. I was experiencing symptoms like neurological fatigue, tingles, numbness, and migraines.

No one was able to find a solution, and I lived with chronic pain for over a decade.

Becoming my own expert

In 2017, I hit rock bottom — even drinking water was irritating my digestive system. That's when I decided to take my health into my own hands.

I researched relentlessly until I came across Anthony Williams,
 Dr Morse, Barbara O'Neil, and Dr John Sarno just to name a few. My life changed at that moment. I felt truly blessed, and more importantly, I felt hope. I devoured their books and started to become an expert on my own health.  

I had tried many different diets over the years but had never considered a plant-based diet because I was raised believing that meat was very important. But my beliefs were about to shift. After reading their books, I jumped right into the plant-based lifestyle.

I started a plant-based diet, took the supplements that many of them recommended, and began to make the changes they outline in their books. I focused on eating fresh, whole foods. I consumed lots of green juice, like celery juice every morning, smoothies for lunch, and tonnes of fruits and vegetables. These quickly became my power foods!

Regaining my vitality

I have to admit it was uncomfortable for the first month, but after two months I saw huge changes in my health. I had energy and mental clarity again, and I was getting stronger by the day.


I knew I was on the right path when my pain began fading away and ultimately disappeared. After a year, many of my food allergies and sensitivities had also gone. Now, I can even tolerate some grains in small amounts — something I would never have been able to do before. 


My healing journey has been a rollercoaster, but now that I’ve made the switch to a plant-based diet, there’s no going back. I refuse to give up my health, my energy, and the ability to do all the things I love.

This lifestyle change is the best thing I have ever done for myself and my family. I no longer take any medication or suffer from the excruciating symptoms of fibromyalgia. Every day I feel more energized, stronger, and more clear-headed than ever before. Watching my health improve year after year is what makes me want to help others.

 

Today, my mission is to inspire and motivate people to make better food choices in order to gain the health and vitality we all want. I'm here to tell you this can happen for you too, and it's not as overwhelming as you might think. I'll be with you every step of the way.
