Perfect Oven Roasted Potato Wedges

Who doesn't love potato wedges? It's a perfect side dish or a meal with a side of guacamole. You can eat those with any dip of your choice or on its own. I Love, love, LOVE potatoes any style but these are to die for.


Perfect Oven Roasted Potato Wedges


Yield: 2 to 4 servings

Prep time: 5 -10 mins

Cook time: 30

Total Time: 40 mins


Ingredients:

  • 4 medium potatoes (peeled or skin on) cut into even wedges

  • 1 to 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp all purpose seasoning or 1 tsp dried thyme

  • 1 tsp paprika powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 2 fresh garlic cloves minced

  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper or to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F (220 degrees C).

  2. Line parchment paper on a baking tray.

  3. Spread the potato wedges evenly on the parchment baking tray and sprinkle with onion powder, all-purpose seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt and olive oil. Using your hands or with a spoon, mix the wedges until well coated and spread them evenly.


Tips:

*I recommend drying the potatoes after cutting them with a paper towel to get rid of the excess water. This will help to coat the potatoes well with seasoning and you will get crispier wedges. Also, it can reduce the baking time.

*Another technique you can try is to steam your potatoes wedges in the steamer for 10 minutes and then cool them down before seasoning. This is the perfect technique for someone who is avoiding oil. You can just season without oil and bake until golden brown.
